Implant – is the state-of-the-art method of tooth replacement. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement. A typical implant consists of a boo-compatible material fixture, above which tooth colored prosthesis (crown, bridge or over denture) is placed.
Implants can be used for replacing a single tooth or numerous teeth. We design the treatment plan after meticulous planning and discussions with the patient.Implants give a person natural teeth and smile allowing one to eat, talk and laugh with confidence.Implant surgery is a day-surgery procedure. It is painless as it is done under local anesthesia. After the surgery, one may experience mild discomfort for 2-3 days.
One stage or One day tooth implant placement surgery :
When the implant is placed in the mouth and a temporary tooth is given within immediately after the surgery.
Two stage implant placement surgery :
The implant is placed in the first stage. The implants are placed below the gum tissue in the bone. One has to wait 4-6 months for the implant to integrate with the bone. Then we make a small cut on the gum and place a gingiva former to get the normal contour of the gingiva (gum) around the implant. Then there is a healing period of 2-3 weeks. This is essential as it gives a natural look to the restoration.
Then the prosthetic abutment is placed on the implant. This prosthetic abutment is the base on which a cap or crown is made which resembles the natural tooth.
Advantages of implants:
– Natural look
– Long lasting
– One root for 1 tooth – when compared to a bridge where the load of 3 teeth is shared by 2 teeth

In our clinics, we place the implants along with biologically active regenerative materials like PRGF, cellular membrane and wherever required (bone graft) in form of autologous bone or bone particulate.
