CASE 1- Fractured tooth- vertical fracture

  • Hemisection- a view
  • Hemisection of the tooth-another view
  • The half of the tooth which remained in the mouth
  • Extracted half of the tooth
  • Half the tooth- ready for the crown to be placed on it
  • Finished treatment-a view
  • Finished treatment-another view
  • The multirooted tooth is split into 2 vertical halves

Sometimes fractured root causes lots of pain to the patient. Depending on the type of fracture, we try to save the tooth. Usually, fractured roots are treated with endodontic microsurgery or with procedures that require the Operating Surgical Microscope.
