Calcified Canal
Calcified Canal
Over the time, due to chronic inflammation maybe caused by trauma, injury or any periodontal disease or due to inadequate preparation of the canal during initial treatment, the apical portion of the canal gets calcified. Calcified canals are very hard to negotiate through, clean and fill. Most of the dentists recommend extraction of such teeth. Such teeth can be saved by root canal treatment done under magnified view of the microscope with the help of appropriate instruments. The root canal treatment can be done in a single sitting.
